All submissions should be sent to submissions@wordpatch.co.uk.

What to include

To help our editorial team assess your submission quickly and accurately, please include the following information in your email:

  • Your full name and the name of your organisation or publisher (if relevant)
  • Book, product, service or story title
  • Publication or release date
  • A short description of the material (no more than 200 words)
  • A press link, press kit or relevant background page
  • Details of any review copies, demo access or supporting material available
  • Approved images, media assets or logos (with attribution or usage rights confirmed)
  • Contact details (email and phone number)

Submissions that omit key details or do not clearly identify the sender may take longer to process or may not be considered.

Our editorial independence

Submission of material does not guarantee coverage. All editorial coverage, including reviews, interviews, recommendations and news articles, is selected independently by the editorial team. Editorial decisions are never influenced by commercial relationships, and any paid or sponsored material is clearly labelled. For full details of how we make editorial decisions, please see our Editorial Policy and Reviews Policy.

Rights and copyright

By submitting material to WordPatch.co.uk, you confirm that you have the right to provide the material and that it does not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights of any third party. Submission does not transfer copyright ownership of the material to WordPatch.co.uk. Any editorial use of submitted material (including coverage, review, quotation, attribution, embedding or promotion) is limited to what is necessary for the purposes of our publication. If you believe your copyright has been used inappropriately, please refer to our Copyright Takedown Policy for further instructions.

Paid placements and sponsored content

If you wish to propose a paid placement, sponsored feature or advertising arrangement, please do not use the submissions email. Instead, contact us at sponsored@wordpatch.co.uk or advertising@wordpatch.co.uk. All paid or sponsored material is clearly labelled as such and is governed by our Sponsored Content Policy. The editorial team’s independent coverage decisions are never affected by commercial proposals.

Data handling

Any personal or commercial data you provide as part of a submission will be used solely for the purposes of evaluating and processing the submission and for related editorial communications. We do not share submission data with third parties except as required by law or as part of our publication processes. For more information on how we handle your information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Who reviews submissions

The submissions workflow is managed by Oliver Bennett, Managing Editor. Book submissions, publishing industry updates, author interviews and literary material are handled by Amelia Foster, Books & Publishing Editor. All submissions are reviewed with the same editorial standards applied to our other content. For more about our team and their roles, see Our Team.

Response expectations

We receive a high volume of submissions and cannot guarantee a personal reply to every email. If your material is selected for coverage, you will normally hear from a member of the editorial team within four weeks. If you do not receive a response within that period, please assume that we are unable to proceed with your submission at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
